NASA unveils trailer for the most spectacular celestial event of the year

NASA has announced plans to broadcast the next “ring of fire” solar eclipse on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

This annular solar eclipse will be visible from the Oregon coast to the Gulf of Mexico in Texas, with a 200-kilometer-wide path in which observers will see the “ring” around the New Moon.

NASA will provide live coverage of the event from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. EDT on NASA TV, NASA.gov, the NASA app and YouTube.

The “ring of fire” occurs when the Moon appears smaller in the sky than the Sun, allowing a ring of sunlight to surround the edges of the Moon during the eclipse.
